Does Promethease keep my DNA file?

No. Promethease's privacy policy says the uploaded file is deleted as soon as the report is generated, typically in 10 minutes. The report is emailed and then deleted from the servers, so it cannot be regenerated. An upload that never becomes a report is deleted after 24 hours. The policy also says files stored before 8 April 2025 were deleted. An account is still required to run a report.

Can I use my Promethease file with My Gene Story?

You upload the original raw file from the company that tested you, such as 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, FamilyTreeDNA, or LivingDNA. Promethease does not store that file after the report, and it cannot regenerate the report. A DNA Story cannot start from a Promethease email.
