Genetic Genie and a DNA Story read a raw file for different jobs. Genetic Genie offers free methylation and detox panels, plus a ClinVar research tool. A DNA Story is one paid, plain-English report on everyday traits. It does not include those panels.

Two different jobs

Genetic Genie offers a free Methylation Panel and a free Detox Panel, plus GenVue Discovery, which it describes as a variant-research tool built on NCBI ClinVar. The about page says the service is "100% supported by your contributions."

A DNA Story is a different job: one written report on everyday traits such as nutrition, fitness, sleep, skin, and personality. It is not a methylation panel, not an MTHFR report, and not a ClinVar screen. If you came for those panels, Genetic Genie is the tool that offers them.

What a DNA Story covers, and what it doesn't

A DNA Story covers 350+ everyday traits, written as one narrative, with a short summary and a detailed report. Categories on the DNA Story page include nutrition, fitness, sleep, skin, and personality.
